Aims and Activities
Self directed support is about you, or your parents/guardians if you are under 16, being in control of the support you need to live the life you want, your way. It offers choice, flexibility and control over the support when you need it.
An assessment will identify the help and care you need to live your life successfully. Following this assessment you will be allocated a personal budget which will indicate how much money may be available to allow you to begin planning your support you need to keep you healthy and safe. Once your plan has been agreed you will be able to manage your budget yourself or with support from others.
